Chandler Bats has commanded quite a bit of attention in the last few months. Notable professional players such as Dominic Brown and Shane Victorino have their own custom turn models through the manufacturer. Yoenis Cespedes and Bryce Harper were both swinging Chandler lumber when they squared-off in the 2013 MLB Home Run Derby Final. Over 40 Major League players have chosen Chandler because of the painstaking attention to detail they give to each bat.

For the first time, Chandler is offering their new Prospect Series bats. Bats in this product line were turned with the intention of becoming one of their Pro models but were removed from the production line for one reason or another. Even with Chandler’s extreme attention to detail, flaws can occur and cause a bat to miss the cut. The flaws in a Prospect Series model can range from uneven grain, a light/heavy wood billet, and other cosmetic blemishes - which is why the savings are passed on to the customer.

The performance of these Chandler models is not compromised; but because of the blemishes, they do not carry the 20-Hit Guarantee offered with their non-cull models. Because of this, these bats are recommended for batting practice and cage use, but could also be used in games. As with all Chandler models, the CMBBCULL models are made of high density Maple which offers the tight grain structure and responsive barrel that players seek.
