Our hottest BBCOR bats for the month of July at JustBats come from four different manufacturers. We are going to break down each of the top four BBCOR models to help you decide which bat is the right model for you and your swing.
2013 Rawlings VELO BBCOR The 2013 Rawlings VELO BBCOR is a one-piece alloy bat that has a balanced swing weight. It is made of Rawlings’ 5150 Alloy, which allows the bat to meet BBCOR’s maximum allowable performance. Its low M.O.I. gives the VELO one of the lowest swing weights on the market.
2013 DeMarini M2M BBCOR The 2013 DeMarini M2M BBCOR is a two-piece bat with an alloy barrel and an alloy handle. Being that this bat has two alloy pieces, the M2M has a stiff flex through the swing zone that provides maximum power upon contact. The bat also features an extended barrel that gives it a massive sweet spot. Due to the extended barrel, this bat may feel slightly end loaded.
2013 Easton XL3 BBCOR The 2013 Easton XL3 BBCOR is a one-piece, 100% alloy bat that features an end loaded swing weight. Given that the XL3 is a one-piece bat, it is going to have a stiffer feel to it. It features an extended barrel, giving this bat a huge sweet spot.
2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR is an extremely balanced one-piece alloy bat. Inside the barrel is Louisville Slugger’s Flex Band Technology, giving the Omaha one of the lowest swing weights among all of the BBCOR bats. The Omaha’s stiff handle allows more barrel flex to give players a greater trampoline effect on contact.
