Louisville Slugger introduced their one-piece, all alloy, hybrid bat Solo series in 2017 as a new edition to their BBCOR lineup. The new SL Hyper alloy was a hit. Naturally, Louisville Slugger doubled down and created the lineup for 2018, including a new USA Bat model. This single-piece construction also employs the new and improved Speed Ballistic Composite End Cap, so Louisville Slugger has deemed it a hybrid design. Other key features of the Solo 618 include:

  • Custom Lizard Skins baseball bat grip provides premium comfort.
  • Lowest swing weight profile and fastest swing speed in Louisville Slugger's lineup.

The Louisville Slugger Solo 618 is recommended for lil' All-Stars because of its hot of the wrapper performance. And, based on bat reviews, here is what some Coaches and parents are saying about the 2018 Louisville Slugger Solo 618 -11 USA Baseball bat:

Solo 618 review 1.jpg

"Light balanced swing weight, my 8 year-old is swing faster through the zone, hitting the ball well. Sweet spot seems to be rather larger giving the bat good pop. My 8 year-old loves the look of this bat, says it's his favorite."

Solo 618 review 2.jpg

"Bat handles well and seems to be very durable. Most of my son's Fall Little League team has been using his bat due to availability of USA stamped bats. Most of them seem to be very comfortable with it. Seems to be very balanced."

Solo 618 review 3.jpg

"Good pop for a USA bat, but the main thing is the feel -- very smooth and balanced swing weight compared to others. Why spend $250 or $300 plus when this bat provides what my kid needs?"
