Old Hickory

The Old Hickory Bat Company was established in 1999 and has evolved into one of the most respected manufacturers in the wood bat industry. Located 20 miles north of Nashville, Tennessee, the Old Hickory Bat Company team consists of over 35 years of combined experience within both the wood bat manufacturing field and professional baseball. Hand selected maple and ash from the Northeastern United States and Canada is the primary source of Old Hickory’s wood, and only the highest graded wood makes it through their strict selection standards.

Many professional players choose Old Hickory for their extreme attention to detail. Notable players that swing their lumber include Josh Reddick of the Oakland A’s, Arizona Diamondbacks Paul Goldschmidt, rising star Yasiel Puig of the Dodgers, and Los Angeles Angels center fielder Mike Trout. This same quality and craftsmanship goes into each bat manufactured by Old Hickory, and each bat is cut from the same wood and treated with the same care and attention as the bats their Major League players receive.

Mike Trout Custom Model: MT27

Old Hickory is the exclusive manufacturer of the Mike Trout Game Day model wood bat. The MT27 is available in Rock Maple and Northern White Ash. Each MT27 is cut similar to a 243 turn model and features an extremely long barrel which gives the bat a huge sweet spot. The extended barrel, paired with a thin 29/32” handle, gives this bat an end loaded swing weight that would be a perfect addition to a power-hitter’s game.
