The fastpitch season is upon us, and we want you to be as prepared as possible. Not only with the best fastpitch bats on the market, but also with helpful tips to aid you this season and beyond. With that in mind, we wanted to share a few more tips from two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Michele Smith.
The theme of Michele’s videos is quickness and speed. It’s widely accepted in the fastpitch softball and baseball communities that quick hands and a quick bat are key components in a successful hitters swing. Bat speed results in more power and the ability to hit for a higher average. Quick hands also enable you to sit back and see the pitch longer which helps you become a more patient hitter.
In this first video, Michele discusses the best way to grip your bat in order to increase your bat speed.
