Rawlings has produced some of the most explosive and popular BBCOR bats on the market over the past few years in the 5150 and VELO. For 2014, they’re adding two new powerhouse bats to their already stacked lineup with the 2014 Rawlings Trio balanced and the 2014 Rawlings Trio end loaded. The 2014 Rawlings Trio BBCOR features a three-piece design and is available in a balanced and end loaded model. The Trio features a composite handle and taper, 5150 Alloy barrel and Comp Lite Endcap. This unique design gives the Trio an ultralight MOI for increased bat speed and more barrel flex. The sweet spot is constructed out of 5150 Alloy, which is Rawlings’ most durable and highest performing alloy. All of that is topped off with the Comp Lite Endcap, a composite endcap that removes weight from the end of the bat which helps alter the MOI and increase swing speed. Rawlings will once again roll out the VELO, 5150 and Plasma in 2014. The VELO is a one-piece alloy made from Rawlings’ 5150 Alloy. It features the Comp Lite Endcap and provides incredible balance and pop to the hitter. The 5150 is also a one-piece alloy featuring the 5150 Alloy design. It has a very stiff handle and barrel for a consistent feel at the plate. The Plasma has a thin Alloy barrel end construction for quicker bat speed and low MOI and a stiff handle for consistent feel.
