On August 7, 2015, the Little League International Board of Directors formally adopted the USA Baseball's new standard for bat performance testing, but this new ruling would not be implemented til January 1, 2018.

Now that we're in the second year of USA Baseball approved baseball bats being available and a requirement for a large number of youth players, we need to break down some of the best options for 2019. It's still early in the year so keep in mind that these bats are based off the reviews we've received thus far, coaches feedback, and discussions with our customers. USA Baseball, the national governing body for the sport of baseball in the United States, has announced the first member of their decertified bats list. Effective May 3rd, 2018, USA Baseball has banned the Easton Ghost X (YBB18GX10). Their ban only applies to the 30" / 20 ounce option and the leagues that are affected include AABC, Babe Ruth, Cal Ripken, Dixie Youth, Little League, and PONY Baseball. The 28-29" and 31-32" Easton Ghost X USA Bat lengths are still approved for play and ready to rock.
