TPX Vertex

Posted by Kara K on Oct 12, 2011 3:42:42 PM

Louisville Slugger has really stuck to their guns with the Vertex series. The Vertex series is great balance of technology and respect for the game. Louisville uses their very strong LS-2x composite material for the handle which makes it even more stiff than its counterpart, the Exogrid. The very stiff handle with an alloy barrel creates a whipping action through the zone that is like no other. 2012 Rawlings Plasma BBCOR

Posted by Ryan W on Oct 5, 2011 7:44:58 AM

In 2010 Rawlings introduced the 5150 BBCOR using a different technology than most manufacturers. They use a variable wall thickness to allow their bats to meet BBCOR specifications. Many other manufacturers simply bulked up the walls of their bat or inserted a ring to keep the barrel from flexing. The variable wall thickness that Rawlings developed allows the bat to have the maximum barrel flex and to have better “pop” away from the sweet spot.
