Monday Meet And Greet: Zeff L

Posted by Megan P on Apr 9, 2012 3:41:26 PM

Every Monday we’d like you to meet someone new around here at JustBats.com. Get to know us a little better! Meet Zeff! Zeff works in the Distribution Center where all of our orders come in and get shipped everyday! Here is what makes Zeff tick.

1. How long have you worked here at JustBats.com?
Just over two years
2. So what's your job out in the Distribution Center?
I receive and process returns, handle demo products including making them live on the website and order supplies for the DC
3. How do you keep track of all the shipments coming in and orders going out?
All of the shipments coming in, with the exception of returns, have a P.O. Number and are logged in Navision. All of the returns are also logged into Navision, but use the customer's order number instead of a P.O. Number. Every day I count the number of returns we receive and use Bat 2.0 to make order notes for customers to make sure they get the correct exchange item or refund. As for the outgoing shipments, Bat 2.0 will use tracking numbers generated from UPS and FedEx.
4. What's your favorite thing about working at JustBats.com?
The culture. I love coming to work everyday because the people I work with make it enjoyable. It's hard to call it work when you enjoy what you do. Our facility is awesome as well!
5. Give us your favorite memory of something that's happened out in the Distribution Center.
One day I got a return of a DeMarini Vexxum, that wasn't even purchased from us, and it was colored all over with a sharpie. There was a note saying the customer tried to personalize his bat by giving it a wood grain finish look. I laughed for hours! We sent the guy another bat...along with a coloring book.
6. What's your favorite sport and team?
Football. Kansas City Chiefs!!
7. What kind of things do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I love to play football and basketball, work out, and be outdoors as much as I can. My girlfriend takes up a lot of my time outside of work too.
8. Give us your top three favorite movies.
Dumb and Dumber
Ace Ventura
Blow

Opening Day At JustBats.com

Posted by Megan P on Apr 6, 2012 4:31:56 PM

Here at JustBats.com we take Opening Day pretty serious, but in a really fun way. Today marks the opening day for The Kansas City Royals as they play the Angels away from home. Quite a few of us are sporting our KC Royals apparel and in honor of Opening Day our chef, Nathan, made us some delicious good old fashioned ballpark food. We had hamburgers, Cracker Jacks and frosted malts. It's a great day to be at JustBats.com! Go Kansas City Royals!

Posted by Megan P on Apr 4, 2012 12:26:41 PM

Everyday at JustBats.com we receive tons of awesome shout outs from our customers. Here are a few that stood out that we wanted to share with everyone!

I have ordered 2 bats from this store after doing research for my softball team. I love the information, the quality and quick service this company offers. Thank you!

Daniel - Atlanta, GA

The bat arrived promptly as promised. Just in time for my daughter to get a long double on Sunday. Looking forward to shopping at JustBats.com in the future.

Genny - Simi Valley, CA

Selection, price and shipping. Bats arrived before the estimated date. I have purchased bats from JustBats before and have had excellent service and delivery, that is why I return to your site.

Brent - Corpus Christi, TX

An Easy to use and informative website, great selection of bats, great prices, sturdy packaging and fast shipping. Add to that the customer service that responds quickly to both, changes on orders and product questions. And you have a company that I have no reservations whatsoever in recommending to anyone shopping for a bat. JustBats.com does it right!!!

Bill - Santa Clara, CA

The fact that you always seem to have the products in stock that I'm looking for, and you send it quickly.

James - Medford, NJ

Excellent service. I'm very impressed with your business. Your website allows me to make an informed purchase after reading about a bat's specifications, price, and customer reviews. I can know what's in stock and when I'll get it. Nice job.

Christopher - El Segundo, CA

Baseball Book Of The Month

Posted by Megan P on Apr 2, 2012 2:38:03 PM

If you love baseball and enjoy using Louisville Slugger bats, then you definitely need to check out this month's Book of the Month. Sweet Spot, 125 Years of Baseball and the Louisville Slugger, written by David Magee and Philip Shirley with a Foreword by Ken Griffey Jr., is a great book that talks about the history of how the family owned Louisville Slugger business became one of the greatest names in the history of sports. This book sits comfortably on the JustBats.com library shelf so all the employees can read it and be inspired by it, and we hope you would be too.
