Marucci has a number of wood Pro Models, most of which they do not even publicly release due to the high volume of pro players who swing their own custom bat. Of the models that they do make available, the AP5 and CUTCH22 are two of their most popular. Marucci bats are 100% handmade in small batches from an original design, then finished and detailed by hand. Each model is made to exact specifications - maximizing both balance and ease of handling. Similar to all-time greats Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig, Marucci opts to bone rub each one of their bats before they apply the finish. Bone rubbing closes the pores in the wood, thus making the wood harder and more durable. |
